FAQ:
Q: What is the difference in the manicures and pedicures that you offer?
A: The basic manicure / pedicure is just a 5 minute hand / foot soak, followed by clipping and shaping nail, and cuticle maintenence. This includes a clear top coat. The therapeutic manicure / pedicure is a 10 minute hand / foot soak, followed by 1 phase of exfoliation with a sugar scrub from the elbow / knee down. This also includes shaping nail and cuticle maintenance, with clear top coat. Lastly, the marine spa manicure / pedicure, is the ultimate, rejuvenating and hydrating as well as softening and conditioning. It starts with a 15 minute soak, followed by 3 phases of exfoliation, rinsed in between and wrapped for warmth and comfort. Then, we soak again in a warm, moisturizing milk and oil bath, followed by 3 types of massage, the effluerage, petrissage, and friction, applied from the elbow / knee down. Then I shape the nail, perform cuticle care, and polish. This includes 3 coats, base coat, color, and top coat. (You don't have to chose a color. I have clear polish for color as well.) This is a more medical grade manicure / pedicure and really emphasizes promoting healthy hands / feet by using soak, exfoliation, wrapping, massage, and maintenance. All pedicures are suggested to be maintained once per week at the most, and once per two weeks at the least.
Q: Do you travel outside of Hamblen County?
A: Yes but due to increase in gas prices, there is a minimum of $5.00 and not to exceed $10.00 applied to all mobile services outside of Hamblen County.
Q: Is there anyway that I can come to your place for the services?
A: Yes, I do have a section of my home designated for salon services. I will be more than happy to give you directions. In this case, no transportation fee will be charged.
Q: Can I request a different design then what you have to offer?
A: Yes, but I will need colors and an idea of what you are wanting done specifically at least 24 hrs before your appointment. I will then come up with 1-3 designs incorporating your requests and email you pictures for you to decide on.
Q: Do you do nail parties?
A: Yes I do, please email me at heather.holmes24@gmail.com for more info regarding parties and how to host them.
Q: Do you have a program rewarding customers who have frequently visited?
A: Yes, I definitely believe in treating my loyal customers with a program that allows them to recieve $20 off of their service total after 5 visits. I record these visits electronically and give a customer a loyalty card in which I date and initial each visit.
Q: What is different about your business then any other nail salon?
A: Here at Heather's Hip Tips, whether you invite me to your home or come to my home for your services, I provide a very relaxing and laid-back environment by enabling stress-free relaxation. I take the time to inquire and treat each customer as a person and not a number to meet a quota. I am firm believer in quality of work and not quanity of customers. Don't get me wrong, I love being booked up, but I allow adequate time for each customer to experience the pampering that each deserves. I love the field of work that I am in, I love caring for people and pleasing them with the services that I provide. I want nothing more than my customers to recommend me, and to ensure that they do, I give them a once and a lifetime experience.
